The 1880 Shiraz 2007 Museum Release
The 2009 vintage of The 1880 Shiraz is a powerful wine, reflective of the season, rich and laden with black fruits, fine oak and layers of complexity. Add ten years of development, and a raft of beautiful secondary characters are evident. This wine will benefit from a decant, ideally a double decant. Pour into decanter at least two hours before serving. Rinse the bottle to remove any sediment and pour back into the bottle ready to serve.
Primary fruits have become more brambly with age, wonderfully integrated, with some savoury richness adding beautiful complexity. Layers of flavour underpinned by generous depth and softening tannins. Soft, rich and perfumed with the aromas of a beautifully developed wine.
